Standard affiliate terms

The short version

These are the default terms a creator agrees to when they join a brand's affiliate program through Ecomyard. The agreement is between you and that brand. Ecomyard runs the link, the tracking and the payout on the brand's behalf. A brand can replace these with terms of their own, and where they do, theirs are the ones that count.

01

Who this is between

You are joining the affiliate program of the brand whose signup page you applied through. That brand decides who is accepted, what the commission is, and when a program ends. Ecomyard provides the software they run it on: your tracked link, your discount code, the record of what you earned and the payout itself.

Nothing here makes you an employee, an agent or a partner of the brand or of Ecomyard. You work for yourself and you decide what you post.

02

Your link and your code

You get a tracked link and usually a discount code. Both are yours alone. A sale is attributed to you when a buyer arrives through your link or uses your code, as recorded by the brand's shop.

Do not buy through your own code for yourself, bid on the brand's name in paid search, post your code on coupon or cashback sites, or claim a sale you did not drive. Any of those can void the commission on the orders involved and end your place in the program.

03

What you earn, and when

The commission is the one shown on the program you joined, and it is calculated on the order value the brand's shop reports, before shipping and tax unless the brand says otherwise.

A commission becomes payable once the order ships. If the order is refunded, the refunded share is taken back, because a refunded order earns nothing. Once it is payable, the brand pays it out through Ecomyard on the address you gave. You are responsible for your own taxes on what you earn.

If an order is refunded, charged back or found to be fraudulent after it was paid out, the brand may deduct that amount from a later payout.

04

What you post

You own what you make. By posting it with your link or code you allow the brand to reshare it on their own channels and in their ads, with credit, for as long as the program runs, unless you and the brand agree otherwise in writing.

Say clearly that a post is an advertisement or a paid partnership, in the way the rules where you live require. Do not make claims about the product the brand has not made, and do not present yourself as speaking for the brand.

05

Your details

The brand sees what you filled in when you applied and what your link and code earned. Your payout address is used to pay you and is not shown next to your name.

Ecomyard processes all of it on the brand's instructions. What we do with personal data, and how to ask for a copy or a deletion, is in our privacy policy.

06

Ending it

You can stop at any time: remove your links and tell the brand. The brand can end your place in the program at any time as well, and will pay out the commission you already earned on orders that shipped.

Commission stops being earned the moment the program ends for you. Links already posted keep working until you take them down, but sales through them after that date are not owed to you.

07

The rest

These terms are a default that Ecomyard provides so a brand can start without writing their own. They are not legal advice, to you or to the brand. Where a brand has its own affiliate terms, those replace these entirely.
